Yaniv Salzberg was born in Jerusalem and raised in Colorado where he started playing guitar at the age of nine. He studied music at the University of Colorado and the Berklee School of Music. He has played many groups including Hunker Down, Juicebox, Space Heater, and the Julie Geller Trio. Yaniv has also written and produced commercial music for television and the internet.
Jon Pleasant hails from Nashville, Tennessee and brings to the table an organ style brewed in the roots of Southern Gospel. Jon attributes his "soulful funkiness" to his late father, a minister, saying, "When it came to playing, my dad was cooler than a walk-in freezer!" He has played with various regional acts covering the styles of country, rock, jazz, and his all time favorite, the blues. Since moving to Colorado in June of 2005 he has played with many of Grand County's musicians, backed up a national act on the 2006 Grand County Blues Festival and made himself a regular on the local music scene.
Andy Irvine grew up in Rochester, New York and started playing bass when he was twelve. He has had an extensive music career, performing and recording with countless projects which have included Beanstalk, the Giant People, Huge in Germany, and the Diunna Greenleaf band. He also teaches private music lessons.
David Knight studied music at the University of North Texas and Georgia Tech University. While at UNT David also participated in several outstanding wind and percussion ensembles including the 13 time PASIC Champion UNT Drumline and the UNT Steel Band. He was also a member of the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He has written percussion music for ensembles throughout the United States, Japan, and Taiwan. |
